Riff Pinot Grigio
although "riff" is a German word for "reef," Riff is an Italian pinot grigio that is grown in the foothills of the Dolomites, an area geologically prized for it's grape growing soil - not coincidentally as the land 1000's of years ago was an ocean reef. Riff has hints of the apples, citrus & spice from the region partnered with a bright, crisp finish.

Paul Jaboulet, Parallele 45 Rose'
Jaboulet vineyards, founded in the eraly 19th c., produces this classic French rose' wine with grapes grown - where else- but on the 45th parallel. Rose', rediscovered by 21st. c. wine drinkers as a great alternative to riesling, is crisp with a fresh acidity & vibrant finish. This dry wine adds complexity with flavors of black cherry, sage & cocoa as well as a "hint of spice cake."

Chateau Bonnet Blanc
This French white table wine, a blend of 45% sauvignon blanc, 45% semillon & 10% muscadelle, is produced by master vinter, Andre Lurton. This wine presents the herbal aromas of the beloved Bordeaux region layered with fresh fruit flavors of pear & melon.

Pierre Sparr Gewurtztraminer
Gewurztraminer is a unique white wine that is as fun to say as it is to drink. Typically a sweeter white wine, this French Gewurztraminer is fleshy & creamy with hints of the expected sweetness. Grapefruit & spice aromas are generous & distinctive in Pierre Sparr's wine along with unexpected notes of evergreen. This wine is medium bodied with a warm finish, pairing great with kona's spicy salads & lighter fare.

Estancia Chardonnay
Estancia has created a classic chardonnay that pairs well with kona's lighter menu items. This wine has a nice balance between the ripe & rich fig, pear & citrus flavors, & there is a smooth long finish which suggests the oak barrels in which this wine was aged.

Grand Ardeche Chardonnay, Louis Latour
This French chardonnay produced by Louis Latour was aptly described as"a stunner. Full of dead on Burgundian aromas of toast, fresh hay & pear." The smooth finish has hints of vanilla spice imparted largely by the traditional French oak barrel aging.

Bollini Pinot Grigio
Grown & produced in Trentino, Italy, this classic pinot grigio has a crisp, clean texture, yet it is medium-bodied, pairing well with a variety of kona's gourmet but lighter style cuisine. Bollini is very aromatic with notes of lemon, fig & melon with a flinty, slightly nutty finish.

Blandy's J. B. Madeira Rainwater
Produced on the island of Madeira off the North African coast since the mid 18th century, this Portuguese export is medium dry, aged in oak & was described as "soft as rainwater" after rain accidentally seeped into some of the casks. Madeira has a long history in this country as a popular after dinner drink enjoyed by George Washington & Thomas Jefferson.

Warre's Otima 10 year Tawny Porto
Warre's is a 300 year old family business that still hand picks the grapes in the Douro Valley of Portugal & ages them for 10 years in oak casks. Grape brandy is added to port during fermentation leaving 9% - 11% residual sugar, thus port is sweet. This Tawny Porto is a light port that overtime develops into a pale golden color that tastes oaky & full-bodied.

Jackson Triggs Ice White
This wine is unlike any others. The grapes were left on the vine for 72 days longer than the natural harvest to allow the grapes to dehdrate, thus enhancing the flavor, complexity & sugars. The result is a delicious dessert wine with aromas of oranges & ginger well-balanced with tangerine, apricot & honey flavors. Ice White is served chilled in a .175 ml bottle & has a long, full-bodied finish.

Peachy Canyon Incredible Red Zinfandel
Most wines don't use adjectives in their name, but using "America's most patriotic grape" Peachy Canyon Zinfandel is incredible. With hand-picked grapes & oak barrel aging, this wine is as smooth as it is complex. Rafferty Rules Shiraz - Angel's Share
Rafferty Rules is an Australian term for "no rules at all," & angel's share refers to the wine lost during the process to evaporation, suggesting the angels are well-served. Bending traditional rules, this shiraz is aged in French oak in addition to American (unheard of in the shiraz world) creating a smooth & silky finish complemented by blackberry & spice notes with a heavy core of fruit.
